What’s the difference between baked-in ads and DAI? How does programmatic work? As podcasting advertising evolves, many podcasters are unaware of the scope of advertising options and practices within the industry and how to apply them to their podcast. This session serves to offer an overview of the different types of podcast advertising, industry terms, jargon and best practices for podcasters no matter their level of expertise. All podcasters no matter their audience size or expertise have some way to get involved in monetizing their podcast! Many podcasters start out with sponsors that they know, and create packages that include overall reach including social media and email newsletter promotion, while other podcasts utilize dynamic ad insertion on a larger scale or work with agencies or advertising marketplaces to use programmatic advertising. We’ll go over different types of ads, campaigns and technologies along with how they’re measured and what your options are as a podcaster. The goal of this session is to educate and empower all podcasters to monetize their shows however they see fit.
